Khao’s Bold Catering at the Aftershock PC Event: A Perfect Blend of Gaming and Flavour

At Khao, food has always been about more than just flavour, it’s about the experience around it. That idea came alive during our recent collaboration with Aftershock PC, a custom high-performance PC company known for building powerful gaming and creator workstations. When they hosted a media and community event at their new showroom, bringing together gaming enthusiasts, creators, and industry guests, Khao joined in to add a culinary layer to the experience.

How the Collaboration Began

The collaboration began organically. The Aftershock PC team had first encountered Khao’s food at our Boutiques Singapore pop-up, and later visited our outlets. The connection felt natural. As they planned an event to showcase their newest gaming setups, the idea of pairing immersive technology with bold, comforting food made immediate sense.

A Showroom Turned Community Space

The event took place inside Aftershock PC’s new showroom, which had been transformed into a lively gathering space filled with media guests, creators, and members of the gaming community. Between conversations about hardware builds, game demos, and networking, the atmosphere was energetic and social.

Food Designed for the Moment

Since the event took place outside our restaurant, our team approached it with careful planning, from preparation in our central kitchen to the on-site setup. Beyond the food, we created a tropical-inspired tablescape using palm leaves, a curated mix of eustomas and foliage, and accents of fresh fruits to bring together a vibrant and appetising display.

Two service butlers helped keep the flow smooth so that guests could focus on enjoying the event.

Where Food Meets Gaming

Events like this highlight something simple but often overlooked: gaming and food naturally go together. Gaming sessions can stretch for hours, and gatherings like these thrive on energy, conversation, and shared moments. Having food that’s easy to enjoy without slowing the pace helps keep that momentum going.
